Across our national depots, we inspect, repair and repaint pallets for pallet pool clients. Our depots are strategically located in London, Manchester, Rochester and Coventry – locations which have been selected to service the needs of our key clients.
Our depots are designed to process pallet pool pallets and ensure that they are maintained to the highest standards. The pallets are prepared to meet ISPM 15 international standard. This is the regulation that requires heat treatment for wooden pallets, also known as pest control. It applies to all pallets that are transported from the UK to the EU and the rest of the world.
An individual pallet can add in the region of £20 per pallet to the cost of production. Pallet pooling takes away the need for producers and manufacturers to own pallets. This enables them to ‘rent’ pallets on a ‘share and reuse’ basis, reducing the overheads considerably. Think of it like hiring a car on your holiday.
